 Jun. 17/03 Diamond DA42 Twin Star wins 2003 Aerospace Industry Award London, Ontario Diamond Aircraft is the proud recipient of Flight International Magazine's prestigious Aerospace Industry Award 2003, in the General Aviation Category. The prize, announced in Paris at the International Airshow, was awarded for Diamond's innovative DA42 Twin Star. The Twin Star sets new class standards in performance, safety, economy and ease of operation with its advanced construction and aerodynamics, twin fadec controlled turbocharged diesel Thielert 1.7 Centurion engines, and fully integrated Garmin G1000 glass cockpit. Runners up for the award were Sikorsky Aircraft's S-92 helicopter and Cirrus Design's Airframe Parachute System.
