DA40 XL demonstrators are loaded with most factory options. Avionics include G1000 glass cockpit, GFC 700 autopilot, GDL69 satellite data link weather, TAS 600 active traffic system and TAWS-B terrain awareness system. The airframe comes standard with extended range tanks, Powerflow tuned exhaust, MT 3-blade propeller, performance landing gear, extended baggage compartment and premium leather interior.

Demonstrator aircraft have been used to conduct prospect demonstration flights, always in the hands of competent sales demonstration pilots. They have been maintained to the highest standards by Diamond Authorized Service Centers, and with as little as 37 hours up to 150 hours of use. Aircraft sold under the XL demonstrator program come with a full two-year warranty on the airframe, and the remaining engine, propeller and avionics warranties, as well as the 2-year, 250 hour pre-paid Premium Care maintenance program.
